Care + Sizing + Policies

Sizing

All rings are sized in US Ring sizes. The best sizing is done by a professional jeweler. Please make an appointment at the Portland studio to have your finger sized. Not in Portland? Select Measure Me on the drop-down menu for your ring style and we will mail you a sizing tool to measure your finger or drop in to a local jewelry store to be measured.

Necklace lengths are listed on each product page in total inches end to end. Cut a string to the indicated length and wrap it around your neck to see an approximation of where the necklace will fall.

Care

All pieces in our shop are handmade with care and attention. Please follow these guidelines to keep each piece looking good and lasting a long time

  • Last On, First Off: Put your jewelry on last when getting ready and take it off first at the end of the day. This is the best way to avoid snagging on clothing or risk applying makeup/hairspray/products/soaps/water to the surface of the metal.
  • Ocean: No
  • Pool: No
  • Showers/Sports: No
  • Sweat=Salt=Metal corrosion that can show up as a broken piece months or years in the future.
  • Soaps + Salt can mess with patina and cause oxidation.
  • Metal is tough, but not indestructible. Poor care can result in damage and discoloration.

Repairs, Returns and Exchanges

We stand by our products and are happy to help in the event that a piece needs to be repaired or replaced. Contact us at hello@lindseysnelljewelry.com with the subject Repair Inquiry and include a picture of the item.

Typically, we do not charge for normal repairs but the buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping. If steel jewelry is damaged from exposure to salt water or chemicals that it reacts to, it will likely need to be replaced.

We are a small business and everything is made-to-order for you so we cannot accept returns due to change-of-mind or mistreatment of the product. However, if you would like to exchange your item for something of equal or greater value within 14 days of receipt, we are happy to help. In this case, the buyer is responsible for shipping.

Please email us first and we will provide you with details about timelines, charges, and shipment instructions.
